CAST #5

Theme: Breaking

Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

— Isaiah 43:18-19

NOTES FROM PRESENTERS AT CAST5

Here are notes from one of our presenters, Robbin Brooks:

BE A TEAM MEMBER!
Kairos volunteers come from all walks and strata of life. They all share a desire to follow Christ’s admonition of Matthew 25:36, “I was in prison and you visited me.” If you feel God’s call to minister to the incarcerated or the female family member of someone incarcerated, please contact Eileen Hernandez at 480-703-7794.

BE A GUEST!
Kairos Prison Ministry is a Christian program, although no religious affiliation is necessary to be a Guest. Any 20-year-old or older female family member whose life has been impacted by the incarceration of a loved one, or a woman who was unable to attend Kairos Inside while in prison, is eligible to attend weekend retreat. Kairos Outside is a 2 ½ day program based on a series of talks by volunteers designed to address the pain of enduring separation from the one inside and the judgment of others from their community. Guests hear the talks in small family groups. The program is interspersed with music, prayer, and and fun activities.
